Specialist, Casting Engineer

Imagine being Specialist, Process Engineer (Casting Process) Responsible for bringing in metallurgy knowledge and knowhow regarding the casting process and formulating, organizing, and delivering recommendations and suggestions to the engineering, production, and new product teams in order to increase casting efficiency.

Strategic results

  • Obtain direction and collaborate with management regarding business policies and the strategic plan in order to accomplish important functional goals.

  • Create and Execution project to deliver Plant/Company  KPI ( Productivity , Cost ,Quality, FROT , Lead time).

  • Enhance the production department's level of proficiency in the metal casting process for improving the quality of the castings used in new product pre-production and mass production.

Best-in-class manufacturing

  • Using philosophy and objectives of metallurgical/material engineering to enhance casting process.

  • Searching and developing for software or any other technology that could assist the team in predicting the casting outcome prior to conducting actual testing.

  • For the most effective parameter optimization, give the casting team advice and suggestions regarding the casting process and associated parameters.

Customer centricity

  • Support manager and deliver the best of PANDORA, innovate & adopt new manufacturing techniques and stay true to design objectives.

Collaborative

  • Openly engage stakeholders for critical activities, and take responsibility and ensure effective collaboration with all functions.

  • Collaborate with all of the key players in each division to ensure that everyone is aware of the project's objectives to improve casting process for better efficiency and productivity.

  • Be a representative when interacting with vendors regarding any new software or technology that may enhance casting performance.

  • As requested, assist the engineering team In improving the casting yield for both new products and mass production.

 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in metallurgical/ Material Engineer or related fields

  • At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.

  • Understanding of casting process and technique.

  • Experienced of casting simulation or any related software.

  • Working on pressure and limited timeframe and resources.

  • For plating plant, recognize the relationship between electroplating and casting.

  • Good command in English.

  • Statistical analytical software CAD (Preferable)
